Visits with Aunt Megan, Aunt Heidi, & Cousin Gary
Aiden has been pretty lucky the past two weeks--he's gotten to meet two of his aunts as well as his only cousin! Megan flew in from New York last weekend and had a great time feeding & bathing our little guy, but try as I might, I just couldn't get her to change a diaper (I suppose I shouldn't complain because the first diaper I ever changed was Aiden's when he was a day old). :)
This Friday, Aiden got to meet Heidi & Gary, who drove all the way up from North Carolina. Although Aiden slept through most of their visit (AGAIN!), everyone had a great time--Gary even got to hold his new cousin! We hope that everyone can come back for another visit very soon :)

Grandpa's Surprise 80th Birthday Party
This past weekend we headed up to Mansfield to help surprise my Grandpa with a party for his 80th birthday. Since Grandpa used to be captain of the Mansfield Fire Department, the theme was--what else?--FIRE! Grandpa was truly surprised and touched, as all nine of his daughters were able to attend, and most of his grandkids, too! My Aunt Jodi even arranged for him to be taken home by the ladder truck. :) Everyone had a great time eating cupcakes, hitting pinatas, and wearing firemen hats! Aiden slept through pretty much the whole thing, but I'm sure he had a great time, too!

Was there ever a doubt?
Gotta love this picture--Aiden absolutely LOVES his Brutus Buckeye mobile! Yesterday, he would stare at it completely mezmorized, and he would cry when it would stop! I thought it was just a one-time thing, but he's doing the same thing today! Mommy is so proud of her Baby Buckeye--he'll be yelling at the TV along with me in no time! :)
Chunky Monkey!
I took Aiden to his pediatrician today for his one-month check-up. I knew our little guy was getting big, but imagine my surprise to find out he weighs 9 lbs! That's right--he's gained 2 1/2 lbs in a month! I knew he was eating well, but not THIS well. :) Dr. Brown (LOVE him) said he's as healthy as can be, and that he has a lot of really cute little boy features. Not gonna argue with that!

One Month Old!
Aiden has been here for a month, but it seems like we just brought him home yesterday! As you can see from the photos, this guy is chunking up quite a bit; we go to the pediatrician on Tuesday to find out his exact weight, but Mike & I are pretty sure he's over 8 lbs already.
A few things about our little guy at one month:
--He is getting better at only getting up once during the night--we hope we've turned the corner!
--He really is starting to enjoy having a bath, but he still tries to eat the washcloth when it's near his face!
--This guy is DEFINITELY a stomach sleeper--he naps much more soundly while laying on Mommy or Daddy's chest (not to worry--we make sure he's on his back when he's in his crib or pack-n-play).
--We've given him quite a few nicknames: Babykins, Buddy-boy, Cuddle Monkey, Frank Sinatra, Old Blue Eyes, and on and on and on.
--He's never really had a problem holding his head up--he really likes to study the face of whoever is holding him.
--Aiden loves to sit up in the Boppy--it helps him get a better look at things.
--We're really excited that he's starting to coo and smile--it just makes you melt to think he's trying to communicate!
So there's your one-month update. We're still getting adjusted to this whole thing, but it's getting easier. Here's to many more months of fun!

Three Weeks Old!
Can't believe this little tyke is three weeks old already. The little devil is 8 lbs already! He sure eats like a champ--according to our chart, he's eating at the level of a four-week-old--and he has been for nearly two weeks! Now if we could just get him to sleep through the night...
Other than that, I really don't have any complaints; I love that I finally can post some photos where his eyes are open, since I know some of you out there don't believe he ever opens them!
