Mommy & Me Monday
His days as the youngest are numbered, and his ability to remain still is even smaller. But blurry as it is, I was able to get a smile, and that's all that really matters :)

My Week (37) in Instagram
Yeah, I need to get back to a post with actual written content. But, June was a pretty heavy month, so consider July my little reprieve. Plus, It's Summer, Y'all.
Sunday 7/22/12: Mike worked most of the day, so it was just me & the boys.
I did manage to have this fantastic pizza dinner ready for him
after 12 hours of EMT work. He was happy :)
Monday 7/23/12: Downed this in about 10 seconds. I was having a MONDAY.
Tuesday 7/24/12: My little monkey, pre-haircut. He whimpered through the whole thing (and so did I).
Tuesday 7/24/12: My happy post-haircut man, who also
apparently aged four years when losing that inch of hair...
Wednesday 7/25/12: Flamingos are easily the most photographic animals at the zoo--
or am I just saying that because they're only animals I snapped a photo of?
Wednesday 7/25/12: Aiden L-O-V-E-S the carousel.
Wednesday 7/25/12: Nolan wasn't so sure. He was a whimpery mess when it started moving.
Wednesday 7/25/12: Cheesin' with Megan on the Zoo's train.
Wish she & family could visit more often.
Thursday 7/26/12: The boys hung out with their toys on the couch during a
severe thunderstorm (I had to say "severe" or Aiden would have corrected me).
Thursday 7/26/12: I love my sleepy Mikey :)
Friday 7/27/12/: Breakfast--with Nolan sneaking a peek. :)
Looking at these pictures, I realize I actually missed a plenty of stuff that would have been perfect for a photo (we had LOTS of family visiting this week). I'm going to blame the exhausted-mom-with-two-kids-to-run-after theory.

Mommy & Me Monday
Aiden & I at Friday's Cleveland Indians game. My smile's a little creepy, but isn't my kid a cutie? :)

My Week (36) in Instagram
Not a very good job of picture-taking this week; most of these are from Friday's Indians game. But with a set of in-laws from each side of the family in town this week, I should have more opportunities, though taking advantage of those might pose a problem...
Friday 7/20/12: We took Aiden to his first Cleveland Indians game.
It was a beautiful evening in the CLE. :)
Friday 7/20/12: Enjoying a HUGE bag of popcorn. :)
Friday 7/20/12: Waiting for the postgame fireworks--which were AWESOME, by the way.
Saturday, 7/21/12: Dealing with diaper rash is EXHAUSTING.
Saturday 7/21/12: Cousins meeting for the first time.
They were pretty unimpressed with one another. :)
Sunday 7/22/12: Sunday morning cinnamon rolls for me & the boys while Daddy's at work.

Sunday 7/8/12: Oh Mom. It's SO hard to see your name on a headstone...
Wednesday 7/11/12: Kitchen s'mores before bedtime. He's a fan. :)
Friday 7/13/12: Da bump at 4 months. Only 5 more to go...
Friday 7/13/12: Napoleon Dynamite was what Mike & I saw for our first date.
Fitting to watch it for in-home date night :)
Saturday 7/14/12: Nolan LOVES to build towers with his blocks. :)
Saturday 7/14/12: We took Aiden to see "Brave." He did pretty good--and it was
a VERY cute movie, so I highly recommend it :)
Saturday 7/14/12: Snack time for the boys, both of whom are now OBSESSED with
Veggie Stix. I'm totally cool with that.

Monthly Mumbles, July Edition
10. So glad that heat wave is over! I like a nice hot summer day as much as the next person, but not 10 sweltering days in the upper nineties in a row--at least not in Ohio. Couple that with the storm that came through & knocked out power to a good chunk of Ohio, and you had a cranky, sweaty Buckeye state. Forecast looks much better for this week & next, so I'm going with that.
9. I need to get back on track with taking photos. I typically enjoy documenting our lives with Instagram and even my Canon on occasion, but to be perfectly honest, it's not something I've felt much like doing ever since Mom died. I need to get my mojo back, in more ways that one.
8. Decided to stop paying an arm & a leg for cottage cheese each morning at my employer's cafeteria, and brought in my own tub instead. Random Fact About Kimmie: I CANNOT eat cottage cheese unless it is virtually suffocating with pepper. Anyone else have this issue? Probably not...
7. Another thing I haven't done since losing my mom is play Words With Friends. She's the only one I consistently played with (and yeah, I lost a lot--kinda weird for an editor, but whatevs), so it just isn't the same. I might remove it from my phone entirely.
6. We're taking Aiden to his first Cleveland Indians game next week, complete with fireworks. I'm probably more excited than he is, but I think that will change one he steps insideProgressive Jacobs Field...
5. Called the pediatrician this morning to update him on Nolan's continuing refusal to use words. I think it's gotten better in some respects; he's attempting more words, and his gibberish has developed into more consonant usage that before, but he's still inconsistent. I told him I'm pleased with the change over three months, and he agreed that we'll assess again at his two-year checkup--which (can I freak out a little now?!) is only 3 months away.
4. Everyone send all your good vibes to my husband for Thursday morning. Leaving that one vague.
3. I'm feeling Justin's flutters a bit more regularly now, and it's always a welcome sensation. Starting to feel like this pregnancy is c-r-a-w-l-i-n-g just a bit, but I think the heat has a had a lot to do with that. I'm ready to get into my big comfy preggo sweaters instead of these ridiculous tank tops. C'mon, October, let's get a move on...
2. I looked back at my recent Facebook status updates and realized that I talk about food A LOT. Not sure what gives there.
1. Mom's headstone was placed a few weeks ago, and I was finally able to make it up north this past weekend to see it. Feels so much more final now. But it's a closure I don't want. I know everyone says this will get better with time, and yeah, it's "only" been a little over a month, but some days, this gaping hole in my life is harder to escape that others...
